Alignment Institute

Institute Overview

The Institute offers cohort-driven and interactive engagement to learn about different approaches, models, tools, and self-assessment strategies for examining institutional efforts to more intentionally SERVE Latino students by aligning data, practice, and leadership. Institute offers 22 hours of technical assistance during the Institute and virtual follow-up sessions to: 1) examine their institutional efforts for intentionally serving Latino students by focusing on the alignment of data, practice, and leadership, the three components of the Seal of Excelencia framework; 2) self-assess strengths and opportunities to demonstrate intentionality by focusing on the process of aligning institutional data to strategic efforts; and 3) evaluate their capacity to align strategic efforts to evidence-based practices with disaggregated data as evidence of effectiveness.

  • The Alignment Institute supports institutions that have previous high levels of engagement with Excelencia through self-assessments, leveraging of disaggregated data, and documenting impact of evidence-based practices on student success to more intentionally SERVE Latino, and all, students.

  • Pre-requisite to apply to Institute: Previously attended the Data Institute and/or Evidence-Based Practices Institute.
