Testimonio
"Pima Community College is honored to partner with Excelencia in Education in our strategic efforts to accelerate Latino student success. The decision to engage in the Excelencia in Education Institutes and Seal Serving Institutional Transformation Assessment (SSITA) Institute was driven by our deep commitment to serving Latino students while serving all students and we needed the tools, support, and a plan.
In going through the SSITA Institute, Pima identified our strengths and opportunities for improvement including leveraging the data, leadership, and practice needed to enhance student success. As a result of going through the SSITA process, we are assessing our programs and practices, representation, and culture. The SSITA Institute equipped Pima’s Seal Team with tools and framework needed to elevate a culture shift and create a strategic plan on how we are going to serve Latino students with intentionality.
Lastly, Excelencia in Education also opened up a network of partners and friends all across the nation that are committed to the same goal, serving Latino students while serving all students."
