Post-Completion Institute
Institute Overview
Institute engages institutional teams in developing, implementing, and measuring support systems for post-completion success of Latino, and all, students. Learn and share strategies, evidence-based practices, and models that prepare and link Latino, and all, students to the workforce for social and economic mobility. Institute aligns with Excelencia’s belief that a core dimension of institutional leadership includes a commitment to improve post-completion success for Latino students, recognizing that Latinos are the highest labor force participants and the highest concentration of Latinos are in low-paying jobs.
Learning Outcomes:
1) Learn and share strategies, practices, models, and frameworks that prepare and link Latino, and all, students to the workforce;
2) Engage in asset-based discussions on aligning data, practice, and leadership to intentionally prepare Latino, and all, graduates, to thrive in the workforce and contribute to the future of the region, state, and nation;
3) Learn about tools, data sources, and metrics for measuring and examining impact on student economic and social mobility;
4) Interact with subject-matter experts, employers, and policymakers on taking data-based action to ensure America’s future by advancing Latino talent.
Team Composition Guidance
Create a campus team of five representatives with reach and expertise that includes leadership from among the following areas:
- Academic affairs
- Student affairs/Career services
- Institutional research/effectiveness/assessment
- HSI initiatives/Seal of Excelencia initiatives
- President/Provost's office

$5,000 per team of five (5) for three (3) virtual modules (12 hours) plus three (3) follow-up sessions (6 hours) for a total of 18 hours of Excelencia technical assistance. |
