 Data Institute

Institute Overview

Institute provides institutional teams opportunities to analyze, interpret, and leverage disaggregated data to drive institutional data-based decisions and actions. As a cohort of peer institutions, teams will learn the importance of using disaggregated data at the institutional, programmatic, and classroom levels to intentionally serve Latino, and all, students. With data being a foundational element of the Seal of Excelencia framework and core to institutional transformation, Institute is highly beneficial for institutions beginning their journey of intentionally serving Latino, and all, students.

Learning Outcomes:
1) Examine institutional capacity and infrastructure to disaggregate data for data-informed action, decision-making, and resource allocation;
2) Identify data literacy and coaching needs to create campus cultures of inquiry across institutional units;
3) Advance strategic initiatives by examining the collection, usage, and dissemination of disaggregated data as means of accountability, continuous improvement, and external measures of impact.

"...the Data Institute has been a positive catalyst for how we view our processes, our institution, how we utilize the data, and how further we can dive into our own campus and our own issues to really serve ALL of our students better. This is for the benefit of all our students across the spectrum, beyond the Seal this is something that I would strongly recommend every institution to be a part of..."
